Glue

Capture

How do you sleep at night knowing it’s a lie?
alley cats are blue but her eyes are green with glue
born red she’s turned black, a hooker for the screen
one, two, three… rising stars never got you very far
the music on vinyl made her swing, made her thrill
she came dressed in leafs like the late autumn bliss
yet she does nothing of the things she speaks…

Sonată

Water Works: Painting Water in Oils @ Susan PLOUGHE

Scrie-mi peste umbre frunzele albastre
și fragmente rupte din cărțile desculțe…

Spre orizonturi albe căile se leagă,
în buchete strânse
în dimineți uitate cerul se botează,
zorile sunt gânduri;

June 2

First love came like rain in June
second one would crumble down,
and the girls that danced since then
their eyes will fade like misty winds,
but this One, she’s here to stay –
calls you ‘darling’ every day
can’t believe the dream is gone
and you are very much awake…
took her hand one night in Paris
you did help her find the way
kissing softly on your cheek
she did help you cross that bridge….
funny gifts and one pink tie
she brings sunshine on her skies
and you hold her dearly too
like a diamond ring or two…

June

Three days left
that’s all the time you have…
to love, to hate, to breath and get out of bed,
punch a monster in the face
slap the hands of thorn disgrace,
you don’t need light to see your heart –
not looking is what makes it hard…

What would you do?
all these feelings burning deep in you,
the numbers never cheat
nor does longing for the truth,
we are only two
an equation limiting itself to you –
the one…

The soldier

Soldier by Camilla Vuorenmaa

“Officer I am dying” said the soldier to the nun
in the sunset of his fire they would walk up to the dawn
but his legs are lost in linger
and they’ve built up wheels to run
trains will push them forward piercing tears in the calm…

Keep your wits while thunder’s howling to the storm
our heavy hearts get even only with the rains that fall,
there is time for a confession
just before the nails go through
the darkness rises and so does the brightest star in you…

The fighting never ended and torments his soul
and every step is a battle for a soldier that repents
his epaulets show glory
but the eyes have bled
the night is heavy but hours never cease to pass…

Your pension got you waiting in a motel by the highway
where each stranger checking in departed as a friend
but passion molds on torture
and fortune gains in cold
the gods might answer if willingly you make that call…

Once upon a time

Alice has got a brand new hook
she’s reading stories from a dusty red book,
legends and truth as it may seem
keep her tied to the library’s stream…

Once upon a time there was a Prince
handsome bastard that lived on a whim,
his castle of gold and the throne were foretold
he rode white horses as the pages rolled…

And Alice kept up drinking words
she was feeding on reflected synonyms
a world she built from scattered dreams,
her hands heal yet her reason kills…

In the late of March the rabbits reest
and a toast it takes to start the feast,
Alice dances closer to the beast
and that’s a rumor to the least…

To my lover

Rise and shine my morning star, breathe in air and feed on light,
fight the ghosts with found new heart
don’t wait long for I’m not far,
in the valley of despair salt does melt and builds up hope
for the prayers that’d been told the dull dust may turn to gold
and the small steps that you took bring you closer to the truth,
needles and pins are painted green
and the youth that held your soul has evolved to so much more
and these bricks to make up walls went instead to patch up holes
in the houses where it’s cold
in the hands of those who fold…

Rise with mornings in the sun, naked feet to wash out dew
eyes wide open to the deeper blue
and I’ll love you to my bones where the dreams may come to…

Builder of Hopes

lost_places_factory_pforphoto_graffiti_old_leave_industrial_plant_industry-486301.jpg

I woke up as one of the many
dusting daily at the lowest floor,
I can read only one book forever
and words are written in gray in this Bible of mine,
the Preacher asked me to rise
stairways are open for steps to take
decisions are heavy anchors in the back,
fear is pouring onto me from a great cup
each moment is closer to regret
hopes are fading like shadows of an axe
and I try to start a fire
to let it burn the world from within…

High hopes are built in stone
none the other shall ever give the tone,
silver and gold, every piece is getting old
and swallowed by the Sea I’m drunk
and in the darkness I first start to see,
I walk towards the sky and do believe
pages rise from ashes like a Phoenix
telling stories I’d never dared to seed
and in the mirror I can see His deeds;
rise and shine my child
let the wind caress the temples I have built
hopes and dreams shall turn the world…

Epiphany

The morning is fine with coffee and wine
sleeping till noon the Christmas tree blooms,
cloudy the sky my heart is so high
the sun doesn’t shine but you do…

I’m falling once more like never before
the sea that was cold turned into gold
and dreams we share are arms to hold
a house of stone for love to grow…
